The Back-to-School Bash is an annual event sponsored in partnership by Messa & Associates, P.C. – a Philadelphia law firm dedicated to fighting for catastrophically injured victims of severe negligence – and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia – the local branch of a national non-profit organization dedicated to enabling all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
The event has three main goals;
Oh! And we also forgot to mention – It’s FREE! Attendance to the event is absolutely free, as are all foods, beverages, and games. Come with nothing in your pocket and take advantage of everything the event has to offer.
The first ever Back-to-School Bash took place at the Germantown Boys and Girls Club on West Penn Street in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on August 29, 2013. Messa & Associates sponsored the event alone and, with the help of Clarence Miller and the employees of the Germantown Boys and Girls Club, were able to provide almost 750 students with free book bags and school supplies. Attendees enjoyed free Hatfield hot dogs, Turkey Hill iced teas and juices, Center City Soft Pretzel Co. pretzels, Herr’s potato chips, Huggs juices, and Minute Maid Popsicles. Table top games, a moon bounce, face painting and balloon twisting, and DJ’ed music filled the field adjacent to the Germantown club while children and their parents wandered about, taking advantage of all that the afternoon had to offer.
The event was a wild success and Messa & Associates is excited to be partnering with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia for a fourth year on what has grown into a successful and very meaningful event.
